Asterisk Behind NAT

Postby austin.rock9 » Fri Jul 21, 2006 2:12 pm

I have a asterisk server which is on the lan ip. But i am using that server from the public ip through ssh. When i m dialing, at that time my lan ip is going instead of my public ip.. That`s y the voip provider is resteristing my call b`caz my internal ipis going.

What should i do if my public ip has to go for dialing.

Error is below :

Jul 22 00:33:01 WARNING[2979]: chan_sip.c:9694 handle_response_invite: Forbidden - wrong password on authentication for INVITE to '"1111" <sip:1111@172.17.242.34>;tag=as17f8bd34'
-- SIP/221.135.102.100-0829e880 is circuit-busy

Here 172.17.242.34 is my lan ip instead of this my public ip has to be there..

What should i do. Can anybody help me.

That seems rather strange that it would authenticate based on the IP that your machine reports itself as instead of grabbing the IP address that made the request. I would not imagine that would be very secure. Who is your provider? Have you tried IAX?
