I have seen a number of posts in the forum atalking about v 2.4. How can we try this version out and what are the features currently under development in this version of VIcidial?

Just use SVN to grab a snapshot of the SVN/trunk branch (which will become 2.4):

As for features that were recently developed, just take a look in the UPGRADE doc in the codebase.
Also, I now post to a twitter account when new features are committed to SVN/trunk:

svn/trunk is in use at most of our client sites, anywhere from 5 agents to 300, it is very stable.
