1BizCom using vicidial?

Postby SuPrSluG » Fri Dec 01, 2006 10:55 am

I watched the demo. For call recording it's exten 8309
sound familar? You make the call. It's windows based.
Looks as if all the heavy lifting has been done here.
Here's the demo link
http://www.1bizcom.com/demo_1bizCom_VoI ... erisk.html

update:
from the sql file
`Campaign_cid` varchar(10) default '0000000000',
`Campaign_vdad_exten` varchar(20) default '8365',
`Campaign_rec_exten` varchar(20) default '8309',

this is the only reference to vicidial. But looks pretty obvious as to where their product came from.

Here is the sourceforge site where they are posting some of their code:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/bizcom/

It looks very interesting, it seems to be a windows implementation of VICIDIAL, but they give no credit or notice of VICIDIAL code use and of course they have no agreement with me to license the code for sale.

Another issue is that it is licensed at MPL(Mozilla Public License) which is illegal since the GPL is not compatible with the MPL license.

I have sent them an email about their violations and I will post back here when I have more information to share.

Thanks again!

I have emailed with them and they are going to pull the site until they come into compliance.

More information here as I get it.

So that is the big reason why they pulled out. Hehe, I was going to try this one and see if it is unique, turns out that it is not.

VICIDIAL STILL RULES!
hehe
