Guys anyone implemented this setup to restrict calls from the softphones based registration of asterisk but only allowed on the when the agent are login on the vicidial as agetn and already in conference..? is this possible

so all registered softphones cant dial unmonitored/unaccounted but only allowed when login as agent on vicidial so it can be monitored clsoely.

Just change the admin.php phone setting for "phone context" to any context that doesn't exist, like "djeruiicoioe" and that phone will not be able to dial out.

Admin->Phones->(select a phone)->Phone Context

That is done within the "admin.php" page (which is where you are when you are logged in to the administration pages of Vicidial instead of the Agent pages).

But in that case they are not able to make Ext 2 ext call ... better is If you are vicidial admin create dial prefix and dont share with any one .. if they dont have prifix they are nt able to dial out...

unfortunately that will not stop them as soon as they observe ONE manager use that prefix (or just "guess"). but if they are in a different context ... they simply cannot call except within Vicidial where they belong.

and it is possible to add extension to extension calls within their new context. you should request this feature!
