Smart Drop / Auto Voicemail

Postby bucket » Mon Sep 24, 2012 5:57 pm

Hey All,

I am just in the process of installing ViciBox to test it for our (internal collections) purposes.

So far, it sounds like it is the "way" to go for an asterisk predictive dialer. However, one feature I'm having trouble finding out if vicidial has, or a plugin for it (and this could perhaps be that I am not sure of the term used for this most common) is a "smart drop" or "auto voicemail" feature.

What I mean by this, is an an agent is making calls we want to connect them automatically we get an answer - do not want to attempt to machine determine if it is a live voice or a answering machine. As soon as an agent realizses its a VM however, I'd like them to be able to push "Smart drop" or "auto voicemail" or something that then disconnects him - enabling them to the next call, and have the system drop a predefined voicemail at the BEEP!

Obviously in collections, this is a very handy thing to do as you will really reduce employee work and burnout without having to manually repeat that message, but also the amount of time saved while they listen to customer XYZ's answering message.

Thanks in advance, looking forward to being an active member of the vici community..

off to buy the manual now just wasn't sure how to refer to this feature / look for it / if it exists!

Buy the manual. Definitely. You'll get your money back several times (bind it and hang it from a string in the bathroom?).

There is a preset VM button in the Transfer-Conf popup. For this very purpose. Read the manual and you'll understand. :)

Oh: Welcome to the party! 8-)

when you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

this IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

Similar to This:

Vicibox X.X from .iso | Vicidial X.X.X-XXX Build XXXXXX-XXXX | Asterisk X.X.X | Single Server | No Digium/Sangoma Hardware | No Extra Software After Installation | Intel DG35EC | Core2Quad Q6600
