Advice for SIP providers?

Hi all -

I'm looking for some advice for SIP trunk providers in the UK. We're considering the build of a Vicidial box to accommodate 20 agents, split between our London office and off-shore. Currently our solution is outsourced.

We are considering a redundant / failover solution - one box in London, the failover off shore. This means we'd need trunking with high call quality from both sites.

We have a current trunk with an American provider, but the ping times are in excess of 250 ms between them and our off shore location, and again between the off shore location and us. This gives us the risk of dropped calls, which in turn could have devastating effect from fines. Additionally they can't present a UK number. A bit of a shame as their service and rates are very good.

Can anyone share recommendations please (you can PM me if you feel more comfortable doing that)? We're going on cost at this point.

Thanks!
Chris

Where is your offshore office located? Can you ping our SIP switch dal.justgovoip.com (208.43.27.84)? Caller ID pass through is supported. This means you can present UK numbers.

Where are you dialing? As a rule, it is best to get your carrier as near to the country you are dialing as possible. So if you're dialing UK ... get a UK carrier. Since the carrier will be communicating with you and the prospect, you can make the prospect leg of the call as short and trouble-free as possible.
