Transfer to special voicemail

Computer workstation - Mac OS 10.9

Hi guys, This might be a really easy question. I'd like to be able to have my callers transfer a call to a voicemail (different from their own but personalized) that plays a message and then hangs up (without the option to leave a voicemail).

If they get an answering machine they currently leave messages but I'd like to be able to allow them to transfer the call to a recorded voicemail that leaves a message and includes that agents direct phone number.

This is what the 'Answering Machine Message' campaign option is for.

Hmmm. Do you mean a Survey Campaign? I'd like to have my agents transfer calls to a recording if they encounter an answering machine on an ordinary campaign.

Nope. He means the campaign option visible under detail view named "answering machine message".

And the agent will press "transfer-conf", then "VM" .. the agent is then free to continue to the next call, and the VM script (if set to do so in the configuration options in the line below) will wait for silence and then play the message and hang up.

Okay got it. Yes I have implemented that functionality already. What I'm looking for is a custom voicemail for each agent so that a custom recording can be played to the answering machine.

I'm guessing that this could be accomplished by transfer-conf to an extension that goes straight to voicemail but

1) How do I get it to hang up after it plays the message (instead of waiting for the person to leave a message)
2) How to I take advantage of the "wait for silence to leave a message" functionality with this alternate method?

We've built a VM-per-agent for Vicidial which is activated by using a special extension and an entry for the agent WEB VARS of "VM=XXXXXXXXXXX" where XXXXXXXXXXX is the recording for that agent (thus allowing a diferent recording on each campaign if this is helpful).

Perfect! I must admit I am a novice with this. How do I implement that?

1) Where do i set up that special extension

2) How do I add the entry for the agent. Is that an Asterisk command?

It's not a part of Vicidial core yet. No one has paid the extra fee to have it DIFF'd against the most recent vicidial code and submitted for inclusion. So it's just on a few very old client servers.

We charge $200 to install it ($300 if you want us to also create diffs against the latest code and submit it to the issue tracker for inclusion).

No one has paid to have this submitted to the Vicidial Issue Tracker which would allow The Vicidial Group to make this feature part of the core code. Until someone pays that extra bit so it can be part of the core, every time we install it WE have to upgrade it (or downgrade it) to match your codebase. Eventually it'll just be part of the core for everyone (if someone pays us ... or when the Vicidial Group is paid to do the same thing!)
