HI guys,

IM using MariaDb as Sole database for my Vicidial Multi Server Setup and somehow able to work with it, im just curios coz Matt advice always to used MyISAM Database ENGINE for better result and performance way back on Mysql.But what would be the case of MariaDb since its using Aria. Any thoughts about this. Thanks

Aria should be fine from what I've read about it, but we haven't done extensive testing. Please let us know how it works for you.

Sorry to "rehash" an old thread but does anyone know if there has been any further testing or progress with Aria? Is MyISAM still considered better?

AFAIK MyISAM is still the only one on the hill (as in: it's not the king, it's the only entrant ... nothing else is fast enough!). Since MariaDB speaks MyISAM, the latest version of Vicidial is still using MyISAM in MariaDB and all is well.
