Configuring DID on Vicidial

Dear All,
I am a newbie here. I want to setup a inbound call center. I have a vicidial manager manual. I have read about setting up DID for Inbound call center and setup accordingly. configured IN_GROUP,DID, and then created a campaign for that. but still I'm unclear here what would agent type in the phone extension and phone password, does he will type DID number and password on client login screen...? I tried logging-in with the phone extension and password in the agent login-in screen but still there were no calls...:-( while the same DID configured on phone, on other system was recieving calls.Please help me out..
How many DIDs are enough for Inbound call center, what are the things which should have to consider before buying DID...?

1. create INGROUP
2. Create DID with DID route= Ingroup and Ingroup id= then ingroup id which you create in step 1
3. create Campaign with
dial menthoud = ratio or inboundman
Allow Inbound and Blended = Y
Allowed Ingroups ( select the ingroup which you create in step 1)

4. create user/agent with agent chose ingroup =yes


Login to agent panel with Agent id/password phone id/password and select the ingroup
press resume to take calls....

Does it Requires to configure Carrier and extension.conf for DID...?
Since I have gone through all of these process but still no luck..:-(

carrier with DID is must to receive call...


create a carrier in admin section. with context=trunkinbound
