Best Linux Distro for Call Center Agents ?

Postby boiken » Sat Dec 13, 2014 5:49 am

Hello i have a call center with 20 Seats.
the agent PC parameters are as this :
Core 2 Duo E7300
2 GB Ram DDR3
80 GB HDD

ive use windows vista and they were ok.I had to change them because of the windows licenses.ive installed Xubuntu 12.04 32 bit.I seems ok at performance. But i have problems with the usage of Xlite through Wine.it have a constant interference.ive adjusted the ALSA Plugin for Xlite Record and raise te microphone so that is no more intereference. But there is another problem. When the client is talking from the other side ,and the agent tries to talk at the same time the client hear the Agent. So the conversation have to be somenthing like walkie talkie.one talk at a time.(i didnt have this problem with Windows)

So i thinks it might be a distro problem.Which would be a good linux distro ??

Thanks

There are plenty of free and stable native SIP/IAX clients for Linux, I doubt using X-Lite under Wine is optimal solution.
If I were you, I'd first try that, SFLphone for example, or Zoiper for Linux.
