A lot of auto answering machines and auto no asnwers

I have tried different data sets, I am running solar campaign so we are calling home owners in the U.S. The only problem that i am facing is that i am having a lot of answering machines and no answers (auto).

for example:

1) Welcome to the Party! 8-)

2) As you are obviously new here, I have some suggestions to help us all help you:

When you post, please post your entire configuration including (but not limited to) your installation method and vicidial version with build.

This IS a requirement for posting along with reading the stickies (at the top of each forum) and the manager's manual (available on EFLO.net, both free and paid versions)

You should also post: Asterisk version, telephony hardware (model number is helpful here), cluster information if you have one, and whether any other software is installed in the box. If your installation method is "from scratch" you must post your operating system and should also post the .iso version from which you installed your original operating system. If your installation is "Hosted" list the site name of the host.

If this is a "Cloud" or "Virtual" server, please note the technology involved along with the version of that techology (ie: VMware Server Version 2.0.2). If it is not, merely stating the Motherboard model # and CPU would be helpful.

3) Turn off AMD and you will have no more auto-answering machines.

4) Stop calling people who have answering machines. Call businesses (generally, during work-hours, businesses do not have answering machines but humans or IVRs).

5) If you want less "auto-no-answers" go to "Admin->system settings" and check the box for "force people to answer the phone!". If you can find that setting. 8-)

6) Seriously, though: If you are calling lists more than once, don't call the ones which were previously "NA" or "AA", this will reduce your "2nd call" responses. You can also try purchasing better lists. But in the end there is nothing you can do to stop answering machines and no answers when you are calling answering machines and people who are not home, except by calling other numbers (list quality ... very important).

7) Call Count Limit (Campaign Modify Detail View) is useful as well. If you've called a number 8 times and not made a sale yet, perhaps it's time to stop calling. :)

8 ) Enhanced Disconnect Logging is useful as well. If you set your Dial Timeout to 45 seconds and enable this setting in Admin->System Settings, your system will likely begin to differentiate between "DC" & "NA" responses. Then you avoid calling the DC numbers again, reducing your NA response pretty well (since the DC calls are dispo'd as NA with that setting off, and then called again and again with NO likelihood of an answer).
