Database best performance

Postby liigi » Tue Jan 08, 2019 1:21 pm

Hi everyone ,

over time I have noticed and read the importance of i / o access to discs for vicidial, however, in the market there are so many porducts that I am not sure what to choose, My local suppliers offer me several solutions that my opinion, and according to their characteristics are similar.

This decision to choose a new server for My bd is due to a possible increase of my agents (400 agents) and that my current server does not give me the necessary performance.I have applied all the recommendations and the platform has worked very stable but my experience tells me that by going over the side of the 250 agents the BD "gets slow"

Current platform :

VERSION: 2.12-563a
BUILD: 160801-2119
Revision: 2578
250 AGENTS

1 DB SERVER DL160 G9 SMART SMART H240 SAS DISCS 64 gb RAM CPU CPU E5-2603 v3 @ 1.60GHz
10 telephony server
1 web server

SO proposed platform :

1 )HP ML350G9 HP Smart Array Controller P440 4 SSD DISCS CPU XEON 2640V3 64 GB RAM

2)DELL R440 DELL Array Controller H740P 4 SSD DISCS CPU GOLD 6126 64 GB RAM

3)DELL R440 LSI Mega Raid 9361-8i 4 SSD DISCS CPU GOLD 6126 64 GB RAM

4) OR ANY OTHER OPCION

Thanks you

I would not recommend using Dell servers.

We only recommend using genuine MegaRAID caching RAID controllers for high-end DB use. We also recommend using separate RAID volumes for the DB data-directory and the OS. Fast SSDs are also a good idea, as is as much RAM as you can fit on to the server.
