Hi-

I'm looking for alternate SIP providers to add into our Carrier list. Any suggestions?

To be clear, you avoided sharing yours, but you want everyone else to share theirs? 8-) (You do see the irony in that, right?)

That being said: Your responses will likely be PMs from those wanting your business, but not wanting any public scrutiny (ie: perhaps a ripoof, perhaps shady). Beware those who walk in the shadows.

didn't think it's a secret, I'm not asking for credentials just reputable providers.

if it's not a secret, why did not not then (or now) post YOUR carrier(s)?

Enterprise Telecom

Doesn't make me confident if http://enterprisetelecom.ca is a 404 page. Not entirely "enterprise" level, IMHO. lol

I mean, not even a landing page?

William I know that is unusual.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/siptrunking

I’ve been using them for 6 months or more now though and I only pay .005/minute for outbound US.
Dominic knows voip really well.

The only downside is paying a few extra dollars in taxes because they are in Canada.

Well, he now has a name and (theoretical?) city listed. That's a start.

You know what would be more impressive, though? A Web Site with all his company's information would be more impressive. Better Business Bureau. "In Business Since" with a traceable company name ... and then a LINK to linkedin.com instead of JUST a possibly fictitious entry on linkedin.com which requires a login just to see (thus tracing the lead back to it's source). Which is what linkedin is all about. (Datamining, lol)

I get nervous when secrecy is part of a company that wants money from startup businesses.

I get it that sometimes these are "just a guy" who "has a day job". I really do. But if that's the case, say it. At least it's honest and really just tells us you're hungry (and we should have a backup plan). But secrecy ... I've seen far too often how that ends.

I think you're missing the point. lol

1) I don't work in a call center.

2) I never risk the calls we do make/receive with anyone I don't know. It's not worth it.

3) Which brings me to the point: There are a lot of telco's out there that operate under the radar. No licensing. Mixing calls in with robodialers to improve their stats. Not to mention many other ploys that I don't want to publish (no need to give ideas to the less-scrupulous out there AND probably many I've never even bumped into!) In the end, they can walk away with your money or toss you under the bus when they get in trouble of any sort. Especially if they aren't a real telco (merely an unlicensed reseller).

4) Anybody who doesn't even have their own website makes me nervous as I've had to listen to so many stories over the years about loss of funds from these situations. So I always quiz deeply to see if there's a real Telco behind the smoke.

So it's not about me having it in for any of these newcomers. I just want to be sure due diligence has been performed and everything is on "the up and up", as it were.

once again ... in private? nope. Public website. Telco licensing. No closed doors. Call Centers are privacy based. Proprietary scripting, secret lead lists, etc. But the Telco's through which they send their calls are meant to be Open Air and public or something is wrong.

We tried that carrier a while ago. lots of ringing and a few calls that were valid sometimes were being marked as ADC. But If I called them from my other carrier they went through just fine.

Also I know the uuid=0yzriDQI part of the URL he sent is a referral link.

Sounds like John M is trying to make a dirty dollar by being pushy recommending them.

Pardon me, but just who are you? ONE post and this is your information? Sounds more like you're competition! lol

LOL: I will admit it's also possible that you just don't want backlash on your "real" username, but that's why I like using my real name and company name. My reputation is all here for the world to see. I don't know if either of them is good or bad, I just recommend not putting any money in that account if you can't afford to lose it. Especially when there are Too Many Secrets. 8-)

Yes its an agent link but its not what i do; ive never made one penny on voip and probably never will.

I’ve only used 5 or 6 voip carriers since I started making voip calls in 2016. Each time I switched I did it to save money. The carrier I use now charges me .005/minute and i’m happy with them. When i find a lower rate I might switch again)))

Very cool. But just like an MLM (ie: Pyramid) scheme, the last people in can get screwed. I like to advise people that while they May ride the wave, they may also be the one to crash on the pier. Secrecy. 8-)

Doesn't always work out like expected. I got busted for living in the Wave cage. lol. Oddly enough, they then assigned me a new job ... GUARDING the Wave cage. I did enjoy that time in my naval career. Gitmo was fun. Yes. It was. What I can remember of it, that is. 8-)

I tried lot of very cheap carries, few of them were great at start but after couple of weeks started diverting my traffic through bad routes. Using PD, was getting lot of ringing calls passed to agents. FAS is another issue. Currently I'm using a carrier which is giving me 0.0045.

Can anyone guide me what is normal number of ringing calls passed to agents in VICI for PD?

Vicidial does NOT pass ringing calls to agents. Ever. The system is designed around "answer, then process". Without an answer (which terminates ringing, if ringing was actually happening), the "process" part never happens. So if a call with ringing arrives at an agent's session, it was a Fake Answer (FAS).

When looking for a carrier, do your due diligence people. Not all "good" carriers have fancy websites, and many are outdated. I suggest that you at least look up the if they are registered as a telecommunications provider with the government body in where they operate. Pretty much every country requires a business like a telecommunications provider to be registered.
Nevertheless, I remember years ago when a large provider closed up shop overnight. Their support dept did not even know what happened until days later.

more than one. and it was two weeks in both cases, and it wsn't "did not know what happened" it was "nobody answering phones, no contact whatsoever for two weeks".

however: being a registered telco doesn't prevent that from happening. so have AT LEAST two carriers online and tested with full capacity.

while having a pretty website is far from required, if there's virtually NO website, make sure they are your third carrier and just use 'em for the cheap minutes but be sure you can afford to lose whatever funds you drop on them. of course, if you ca pay with a Credit Card (not a debit card, not paypal, not wire transfer), things get a bit more flexible. 8-)
