The SCRATCH_INSTALL, BASE_INSTALL and the source code itself is prety much all there is.

If I took the time to write an Administrator manual nothing would get done.

While a 'sysadmin' manual would be welcomed, I would have to say that if you can't follow the scratch install or able to read the code, you proably aren't qualified to implement and maintain this platform.

However, if you wish to contribute to making a sysadmin manual via the wiki, I'm sure that would be very welcomed.

I see. What specific topics or tutorials would you be interested in regarding a sysadmin manual?

mostly on astguiclient and vicidial..i think its more of a book then manual...
its a book like "Asterisk :Future of Telephony"..
when i started installing asterisk for vicidial..i found that book really useful which helped me understand all the feature about asterisk
it would be really helpul if you guys can work and publish a ebook on vicidial(setup, configuration, requirement, functionalities)

"Asterisk: The future of Telephony" took them 3 years to write, enough said :)

As for more tutorials, I plan on adding at least one extra tutorial with every release of the VICIDIAL MANAGER MANUAL I come out with that should help.

Can you give some specific Tutorials that you would like to see in the next manual release?

I can see adding an administrator manual or extra chapters on administration to the manager manual some time next year if I get the time. But that's a little out of my planning range at this time.

Come on now.

let's face some basic facts first.

In order to properly administer vicidial here's whats needed

1) Linux Administration skills - First and foremost we need to know this one.

2) a little php/perl/mysql background - we are dealing with scripts.

3) proficiency in asterisk

now on having an administrator manual is tantamount of creating a Asterisk / PHP / PERL / MYSQL / Linux Adminstration guide for dummies.

my first assumptions on the techs of call centers knows some things on the first 2. then delved in the third part for the calling part. but anyway im going to post some howto's in the support section in the near future for some basic tutorials.

Any ideas on what should you want to know?

That's what I was trying to say in my original post, in a different way :0)
