DTMF

Is it possible to provide a Keypad for DTMF instead of Send DTMF and a text field ?
GoAutoDial CE

No other software installed on the box.
I've read the manager manual.

Sure, why not. You can program just about anything you want. I don't know that many companies that even use the Send DTMF at this point when you can just use your phone's dialpad now that DTMF passthru is standard.

Yep! Matt is right. You can now use your phone's (softphone, voip phone, and etc) numeric pad to pass DTMF.

One question... I have a Vicidial System, sending DTMF using softphone dial pad works without problems, but sending DTMF using the Agent Interface fails. The system uses an IAX2 trunk to another Asterisk Server for calls to PSTN.

Can anyone give more insight on how DTMF pass-through works?

Asterisk 1.2.30.2
Vicidial 2.2rc3 r1313

Send DTMF actually plays the audio of the DTMF tones. There is also an option on the AGI that executes the send dtmf to send only out-of-band signals.

Thanks Matt, I will try the signalonly option for the Send DTMF AGI to see if it works better.

Thanks Matt,

I tried the signalonly option for the Send DTMF AGI and it definitely works better for IAX trunk with another IP PBX.

Is there any reason for not using signalonly option by default in extensions.conf?
