question abt unique-id

I didnt understand tht how the "unique" number is generated in vicidial_manager table wen u hangup any channel ???

If I insert a row with status "NEW" in vicidial_manager table then the AST_manager_send.pl will read tht entry and will place a call in asterisk.

but, my question is, Wen the channel is hanged up at tht time it changes the "unique" field in vicidial_manager table. How this unique number is generated ???

its generated by asterisk or vicidial ???

Could you give an example of a unique number that you are asking about?

Also, NEW refers only to the Action state, not that it is a call Origination, Redirect, Hangup, etc. Even Hangup Actions start as NEW vicidial_manager status.
