Monitor calls are not visible to agents

Postby ast1 » Tue Jul 08, 2008 9:52 am

Matt,

Could you explain the steps of how to hide the monitor calls to the agents?

Use 2.0.4.1rc2 or higher with the iax.conf and extensions.conf as a base for your configuration. Then dial 0 + sessionID and the call will not show up in the agent screen "calls in this session"

I just updated to astguiclient_2.0.4.1rc2 but the call still shows up in the agent screen "calls in this session" ( I am doing monitoring over IAX trunk). Do I need to make any changes in iax.conf and extensions.conf in order to make it work?

What are you dialing to monitor your agents?

what is the Asterisk CLI output when you do this?

Accepting AUTHENTICATED call from 10.0.0.94:
> requested format = ulaw,
> requested prefs = (ulaw|alaw|gsm),
> actual format = gsm,
> host prefs = (gsm),
> priority = mine
-- Executing MeetMe("IAX2/ASTtest1-7", "8600051|F") in new stack

This is the cli output

I dial 08600051

That doesn't look right, do you have this in your extensions.conf?

; Local blind monitoring
exten => _08600XXX,1,Dial(${TRUNKblind}/6${EXTEN:1},55,To)

Well, what happens when you uncomment them and reload, then try it again?

It is still doing the same thing even after I commented out those lines. Here is the asterisk cli output:

Something is not letting the call go through "IAX2/ASTblind", it is going through "IAX2/ASTtest1" instead.

double-check your extensions.conf and iax.conf, the reload in Asterisk and try again.
