AMD Send to VM exten bogging box?

Postby Nortelguy » Mon Oct 13, 2008 12:13 pm

I got a fresh install here and I have the features enabled to play a msg to answering machines. Here is what I notice:

Before I had this AMD to VM feature the hopper would stay full, what I mean by full is I had it set to LEVEL 50 and LEADS IN HOPPER would never get below 10 or 20. I am on a PRI and making on average about 18-22 calls contantly. So that can't be the problem there since it worked before at 50. Now with the AMD to VM feature enabled I have to keep LEVEL 200 just to keep the hopper loaded with numbers at all times. I tried LEVEL 100 and even then LEADS IN HOPPER goes to 0. I think that the AMD feature is putting a big load on the system and that the script in cron for the hopper isnt running ontime everytime, or is struggling for CPU time. I notice now with AMD to VM feature enabled that asterisk sometimes is at 100% CPU usage. I will note that the survey I am running is playing WAV files to someone that answers, and WAV files to answering machines. I did try GSM with sox but the quality is horrible.

My server is pretty hefty 775 Class ASUS motherboard, with an E8500 3.16ghZ. I also have 2 gigs of DDR2 800 memory as well, also with a SATA drive 7200RPM. Any ideas or tricks ?

That depends . If they hangup during the greeting its set to PU if they pick an option to OPTIN for more information it gets set to SVYEXT. If they arent home and the answering machine answers and vici leaves a msg its set to umm AL. If it cant leave a MSG for whatever reason its AM, never changes to AL (I think). If they OPTOUT its DNC.
