How to add cron job?

Postby hammobru » Tue Mar 10, 2009 12:14 pm

Hi after research I have found a script to add to the cron Job to clear out my cache memory at a predetermined time frame. I see I need to add it to the cron Jobs but I am not sure how to do it. Thanks in advance for your help.

depending on your OS there are two ways..

modifying /etc/crontab

or as codehaxor stated..

crontab -e

Manually editing the file that cron uses could potentially cause problems. I would highly suggest using crontab -e.
