I am having some hangup problems. When that happens, term_reason appears as 'NONE'
When would term_reason be set to 'NONE'?

That would happen if your system is not configured properly or you had a crash or there is some other kind of problem with the system.
admin.php version and build?
peak loadavg on the system?

It has only happened once. Load average is around 1. Its 2.0.5RC1.
