Call suddenly dropped

Postby lmora » Wed Nov 18, 2009 10:18 pm

Hello all

This is the thing, few calls during the day are suddenly dropped in the middle of the conversation. I know that it could be because of a bunch of reasons.

I grabbed these messages from CLI that might give a clue to expert eyes.

Call established:
55328 [Nov 18 20:03:47] VERBOSE[24586] logger.c: [Nov 18 20:03:47] -- Executing [8600052@default:1] MeetMe("Local/8600052 @default-1c40,2", "8600052|F") in new stack

and then for no apparent reason the call was dropped after 223 seconds of dialed

is this helpful to identify what happened?

Thanks

That pretty much just says the call ended.

Can you show your load during these drops and your internet usage and your vicidial logs (I don't expect any more information from the vicidial logs, but then again ...)?

You could also consider turning on debug logging in asterisk (controlled by logger.conf, requires "logger rotate" command in CLI, you can send debugging information to a sep file from all other content by adding a new line just for that). That may at least give you the idea whether the calls were terminated by your box on purpose.

Also, please post your method of installation (obviously you're up to SVN, which is way cool, but how did you get there? vicibox upgraded with directions from ...? that sort of thing). And just to be sure to cover it ... is there anything else running on the box? (A CRM, Trixbox, etc).
