Vicidial and asterisk on separate boxes

Hi All,

I have a client with an existing call centre running asterisk 1.4.27 with IP trunks to Faktortel an australian VSP, it has no dahdi/zap trunks. The client has asked me to evaluate vicidial for use in their call centre (14 agents).

Can I run vicidial on a separate box and use the existing asterisk box to do the dialing, or does vicidial and asterisk need to be on the same box.

you just connect your vicidial/asterisk to the voip-provider,

No reason to touch the production-system
