No warning sound to agent when a new calls is passed to him?

Postby AlexR » Tue Nov 21, 2006 8:11 pm

Hello everyone,

Everything seems to be working fine right now... however i have the problem that when a new call comes into an agent he must be watching the screen the whole time, since there is no sounds to warn him a new call is coming.

Is there a way to change this behavior?

Thank you!

there is supposed to be a beep sound before a call comes in.

check the volume of the headseats.

Thanks for the reply!

i am currently using asterisk-1.2.12.1, this beep that you mention, it is the same as beep.gsm? If so it would be possible to change it for a longer sound file...

Thank you!

The meetme beep is actually coded into app_meetme.c and cannot be easily changed.

What extensions.conf entry do you have for 8600051 and higher?

Changing the meetme entry sound is extremely difficult and it is not a soundfile in the sounds directory.

Play sound to conference before putting call to it.

Hi I did a little digging, and it seems we could make a meetme dialplan entry that first connects to the conference in silent, and plays our own notification, then proceeds to connect the call to the conference.
