Looks like you need to install Net::MySQL 0.08.

Make sure you follow the SUBPHASE 3.1 section of the SCRATCH_INSTALL and install all of the perl modules properly.

What Linux distribution are you using?

What version of perl are you using (perl -v)

What is the rest of the error to the one you posted, above the information you posted?

I have never had that problem with Slackware.

Did you install all packages when you installed Slackware?

What hardware are you using?

Hi Matt

We went with option of installing MySQL version 4.1.12 or greater from Scratch_Install. Do we still need to use the 0.08 version of the Net::MySQL perl module? We tried to re-install the and when we try to run install MD5 in CPAN, it gives the error listed below. Is there a another way to re-install this?

We have been going step by step following the Scratch_Insall. Even we have encountered this for the first time. We were able to install the dialer earlier but were not able to run it because of ZTDummy issue. We have that resolved now...using a digium card.

I am not in front of the computer with Slackware - can let you know about the hardware in a few hours. I know its a new CPU with 512 MB RAM, Digium Card, etc. Its running Slackware 10.2, with kernal 2.4.3, Asterisk 1.2.9.1, Zaptel 1.2.6, libpri 1.2.3, my sql 4.1.12.

Appreciate your feedback. Thanks

You must use Net::MySQL 0.08.

are you sure you are using kernel 2.4.3?

Thanks.

I will double check the Kernel.

How do we re-install all the software and perl module in phase 3. When we tried to do that it gave us the error listed above. Is there an alternate way to re-install?

Unless something is seriously wrong with your Slackware install you should be able to install cpan modules many times over with no issues.
