I have never seen MD5 installation fail on Slackware before. Please post the Slackware packages that you installed at initial installation of Slackware.

I really don't know what would cause that. I install Slackware 10.2 very frequently (last time was last week in fact) And I've never seen MD5 not install. I really don't know what is wrong with your installation.

How didja download your distribution? Also, have you run md5sum to make sure your ISO is correct?

I had the darnest time trying to get my system installed and it turns out to be a bad download via FTP. I ended up bittorrenting the ISOs, which gives more accurate results.
