Postby m160858 » Tue Aug 15, 2006 4:26 pm

hi,

I’ve a CPU: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.26GHz stepping 09 with integrade audio running. My distribution is ubuntu Dapper, but my softphone (idefisk or xten) no sounds like xten 3.0 for windows.

What can I do to sounds like the softphone in windows?

What codec are you using?

Can you describe how the sound quality is bad?

audio-delay, audio pause, skipping audio, poor audio fidelity but otherwise OKI...?

How much RAM does this computer have?

have you run "top" on command line when idefisk is running?
If so what is the loadavg and how much memory in use?

Have you tried posting on the IDEfisk support site?

Try attempting a few different softphones.

What specific noises are you hearing? Echo, chatter or what?

What kind of onboard audio card do you have?
