Agent not being called after login

Hi,

I have installed ViciDail from scratch on Debian on a VM - it is a lab environment, and I am trying to test it (for production it will have a dedicated server).
The software verions in stalled are:
Debian 7.9
Asterisk 1.8.23.0-vici

screen -ls output:
There are screens on:
3758.ASTconf3way (26/11/15 11:00:03) (Detached)
3744.ASTfastlog (26/11/15 11:00:03) (Detached)
3742.ASTVDadapt (26/11/15 11:00:03) (Detached)
3740.ASTVDremote (26/11/15 11:00:03) (Detached)
3738.ASTVDauto (26/11/15 11:00:03) (Detached)
3736.ASTlisten (26/11/15 11:00:03) (Detached)
3734.ASTsend (26/11/15 11:00:03) (Detached)
3732.ASTupdate (26/11/15 11:00:03) (Detached)
8 Sockets in /var/run/screen/S-root.

I tried to configure and login with Zoiper using both private and public IP, but the agent is never called after the login on the web interface.
At this point I have the public IP configured, and the SIP phone registers ok:
-- Registered SIP '8081' at 5.2.158.243:35379
> Saved useragent "Z 3.2.21357 r21367" for peer 8081

Name/username Host Dyn Forcerport ACL Port Status
8081/8081 5.2.158.243 D N 35379 Unmonitored

When I login on the web interface with a user and the apropriate extension, nothing appears in the astcli, but I see this in the "action_full" log:

Variable:

2015-11-26 11:34:01|171|1|||
2015-11-26 11:34:01|171|2|||

On the interface i get the following message: "No one is in your session: 8600052"

Can anybody point me in the right direction regarding the next step in troubleshooting this?

Thank you!

Welcome to the party!

There might be a few plausible reasons for this. But, first, see if the vicidial server ip in admin interface matches the IP address of your server.
You can find that at http://server-ip/vicidial/admin.php?ADD=100000000000

Please confirm that. Also you might need to set externip in sip.conf

Thank you for the quick reply!

Yes, the IP appears OK (it is the public IP of the server). It also appears ok on the Phone configuration page under Server IP.
in the sip.conf I configured he IP as "udpbindaddr"

In your sip.conf, update externip=public-ip and then try let me know.

I have install vicidial from scratch, everything is up and running, but when I login to agent screen there is no CLI output and no Welcome audio "your are the only person in the conference" also I get an error message on agent screen "There is a time synchronization problem with your system, please tell your system administrator" I have checked the DB time, server time and agent screen time all are matching. I have mysql repair and mysql optimize also "/usr/share/astguiclient/ADMIN_update_server_ip.pl" I have followed the procedure for installation "Dahdi, libpri,asterisk and then SVN check out for vicidial" Please guide if I have missed out any where and what are the steps to over come these.
