hi
i want to know that in a call center of 20 seats using softphone
which will be a better option
digium x100p or softare ztdummy
if digium x100p
than were i have to puts the cards
in all 20 nodes and server or in server alone
my server is dual core intel xeon 3.ghz
2 gb ram
78 gb 10K scsi hdd in raid 5
help needed

It depends on how you're handling your inbound/outbound calls. An x100p will handle a single line/call connected to the pstn. A t100p will connect to a channel bank and connect up to 24 lines connected to the pstn. There are a number of cards that you can use to connect up to and over that amount of lines. You should look into how asterisk connects to the pstn.

You can use the x100p as a timing card if you're going to be using termination from a VoIP provider. It is recommended you use this rather than ztdummy for a timing device in a prodiction system.

You do not need cards in the client pc's regardless of the scenerio.

i am termination is on VoiP provider so i need it as timing device
so which card will be better for 25 node call center

it depends...

on x100p you can use it as a timing for softphone + SIP or IAX

but if you needing E1 or T1 connection

buy higher digium card.
