Transfer call to record customer feedback

Postby rahat651 » Thu Oct 08, 2020 10:28 am

Hi,
Is it possible to call a customer from a SIP phone and then transfer the call to an extension/IVR so that an audio file can be played (which will instruct the listener to record after the beep).
And then whatever the listener on the other end says would be recorded.
The call will be disconnected after 5 minute or if the listener disconnects earlier.
The listener do not need to press any key to record the feedback. Just need to press the red phone button to disconnect.

Can it be done without the voice mail option or there are other better approaches?

Hi rahat,

We can do using customized dialplan for that.

From SIP phone you can call the customer as usual.

Then you have to write a dialplan with customized number eg: 900. In that dialplan playback your audio to listen. For recording you can use the defaultlog context for your sip phone instead of default. Now call also recorded.
Code: Select all
exten => 900,1,Playback(audiofile)
exten => 900,n,Hangup()

Using phone feature you can transfer the listener to 900. Now he can listen and call also recorded.
Thats all.
Please try and give feed back.
We are ready to help you,

This sounds suspiciously like voicemail.

Can it be done without the voice mail option ...

OK: I'd also like to drive to the store without a car, but at 60MPH inside something to protect me from the weather.

Translation: WHY do you want voicemail but without calling it voicemail? Are you just looking for a different prompt? VM prompts can be modified quite readily ... 8-)

It is the way of retrieval that I was trying to avoid.
If it could create some leads for the audio records and can be accessed from some menu like the the call leads (with details and audio playback button) then it would be perfect.
