Not picking up DTMF for Call Menu

Hi There,

VERSION: 2.14-755a
BUILD: 200601-2129

This server (single server) has a quite extensive call menu setup, as it's primarily inbound.
After working flawlessly for several months, during the course of the day, the server is not picking up the DTMF signals.

Carrier Account Entry includes:
Code: Select all
dtmfmode=rfc2833


All process seem to be running OK, server performance is OK.
Restarted asterisk, database as well as httpd
And rebooted, no change

Any pointers for troubleshooting?

try
dtmfmode=auto
just to check apart from rfc2833 it supports other mode.

Check with carrier provider is there any change from there side
.
create a custom dialplan in default context with callmenu target.
dial the callmenu manually from softphone and check dtmf is working internally.

The problem cleared after about 1.5hrs.
If it comes up again, I'll use your suggestion.

If it was a temporary ... you may have been routing calls through a provider that was blocking DTMF for Vicidial originated calls. Sometimes your provider will detect and reroute (after a while, likely when another client complains). The test for that is to change your caller ID number. If you are calling Canada, you may need to use the loopback call method to change your caller ID name (not necessary in the US). viewtopic.php?f=4&t=39433
