ViciBox 10 OpenSuse 15.3 Boot Error "nomodeset"

Postby mstopkey » Mon Dec 12, 2022 1:03 pm

Hello all. It's been a VERY long time since I have participated. I bought the company I have worked for since 2004 and am trying to build an updated dialer. We are on VERY old version and it's time. Now for the issue:
Server is Lenovo RS140. Trying to install ViciBox 10.0. Upon installation of the OS (OpenSuse 15.3) I am getting emergency mode on reboots. Here is the output from journalctl comman.
Code: Select all
Dec 11 13:54:30 localhost kernel: Kernel command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-5.3.18-59.10-default root=UUID=36df0b7c-cebf-4b1e-8984-d22d0985f78b splash=verbose noresume nomodeset
Dec 11 13:54:30 localhost kernel: You have booted with nomodeset. This means your GPU drivers are DISABLED
Dec 11 13:54:30 localhost kernel: Any video related functionality will be severely degraded, and you may not even be able to suspend the system properly
Dec 11 13:54:30 localhost kernel: Unless you actually understand what nomodeset does, you should reboot without enabling it

Video is onboard. I tried editing grub and grub.cnf to set graphics mode to IGD, and every other config available. No dice.
I have searched the OpenSuse forums and tried a few things from there. Anyone else run across this? I'm stuck.
I should mention this server had been running ViciBox before. I removed it from the cluster. And, I am currently installing ViciBox 9 (OpenSuse 15.1) to see if I get the same problem.
ViciBox 7.0.4 | Version 2.14-694a | SVN Trunk | 2803| Asterisk 11.25.1-vici |Build 181005-1738 | DB Schema 1561 | 7 64bit Telephony servers | 3 64bit Web servers | 1 64bit Database server | 1 64bit Archive server
