Any tips on simulating a call?

I've tried creating an extension that plays back conf.gsm however the dialer dials it never goes to the agent and plays the conf.gsm file.


ideas?

On a single machine what I have done in the past is to use the ip_relay utility to port forward IAX port 40569 to 4569 on the server so that it can register to itself, that way it looks like a remote call to the system.
