Timing of Recording a Reminder

Postby bwettlaufer » Wed Apr 23, 2008 1:40 pm

Hi guys,

We're having a small issue with our agi-VDADautoREMINDER calls.

After a lot of testing, we are finding that our recorded message is not timed correctly with the beginning of an answering machine prompt. Messages are being recorded 5-15 words into our pre-recorded broadcast message (although live answers are fine).

We've tried looking at the settings in agi-VDADautoREMINDER, extensions.am_msgs.conf, extensions.conf, and I cannot find an appropriate setting to alter the 'timing' of silence before recording.

Help?

Are you using Waitforsilence?

I tried WaitForSilence(2000,2) in extensions.conf, but it made no difference. Which file and where should I be putting that prompt?

When you compiled Asterisk, did you use the patched waitforsilence or are you using the one that is included with Asterisk?

I would recommend changing the settings in waitforsilence and see if that makes any difference
