VICIDIAL server runs out of memory

Hello

I am newly using a HP Proliant ML350 machine for vicidial 20 seats.

Slackware 12, Asterisk 1.2.24, Vicidial 2.0.4

Recording calls on demand , about 3-4 calls at any given time. I am using SIP trunks thru a service provider to dial out calls.

I find all the memory gets used up , then the system is very sluggish and does not function , even LAN IP phones don't register. On reboot it runs fine for a couple hours or so , then again this happens, once the memory is used full (as per "top" and also "watch free"), even when all the agents log out, the memory still shows it is fully used, but the processes using memory in "top" do not add up.

Loadavg was only 2.5 or less less than 3 only.

any advice how to resolve?

There could be several reasons for the slowdown, I don't think it is specifically memory related because I have a lot of servers running Slackware 12 in production using all of their memory with no slowdown issues.

What specifically slows down?

How are you measuring this?
