Noone is in your session 8600051

Postby ramonvel » Tue Jun 03, 2008 12:04 pm

Hi Guys,

I can make and receive calls through asterisk IVR. The agent is able to login into http://serveripadd/agc/vicidial.php but then "Noone is in you session 8600051" comes up.

I monitored asterisk and there is no display of any attempt from server to call the phone extension.

This is the screen printout for screen -ls :

There are screens on:
4059.pts-2.voip (Detached)
3193.ASTVDadapt (Detached)
3195.ASTfastlog (Detached)
4604..voip (Dead ???)
Remove dead screens with 'screen -wipe'.
4 Sockets in /root/.screen.

Here is also the part of the contents for /etc/astguiclient.conf :

# The IP address of this machine
VARserver_ip => 127.0.0.1

# Database connection information
VARDB_server => localhost
VARDB_database => asterisk
VARDB_user => cron
VARDB_pass => 1234
VARDB_port => 3306

On the VARserver_ip, I've tried localhost as well as the actual machine IP address, but no positive results.

I wasn't able to telnet the server so, I enabled telnet server in /etc/inetd.conf.

Now, I can telnet serverip 5038. Asterisk Call Manager/ 1.0 comes up, but it just sits there, doing nothing. I don't know if that's the proper behavior.

I checked my manager.conf file, here it is:

[general]
enabled = yes
port = 5038
bindaddr = 0.0.0.0
[cron]
secret = 1234
read = system,call,log,verbose,command,agent,user
write = system,call,log,verbose,command,agent,user
[updatecron]
secret = 1234
read = command
write = command
[listencron]
secret = 1234
read = system,call,log,verbose,command,agent,user
write = command
[sendcron]
secret = 1234
read = command
write = system,call,log,verbose,command,agent,user

So, I'm clueless about what to do next. Can you guys help me. I really don't want blow the server and start again for the sixth time :)

Oh,

I forgot to mention that when I run:

root@voip:~# /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_update.pl
SHOW CHANNELS format: 1
LOOKING FOR Zap clients assigned to this server:
LOOKING FOR IAX2 clients assigned to this server:
LOOKING FOR SIP clients assigned to this server:
Zap Clients: |
IAX2 Clients: |
SIP Clients: |
unknown remote host: at /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_update.pl line 369

I checked line 369 and this is what is shows :

$t->open("$telnet_host")

Please, help.

try setting your telnet host field to the IP address of your server in the admin.php -> Admin -> Servers section.

Session is in your session

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your help. I did the change under the Server "Telnet Host" to the server's IP address. I also tried "localhost, voip, 127.0.0.1" but no luck.

I run the AST_VDadapt.pl and it hangs. I waited for about 5 minutes for it.

Any other recommendation?

Thanks for your help Matt,

P.S. I noticed Astguiclient_2.0.4.1rc2 came out. Did the Manager Manual was updated? If it was, I have not received my notification to download it. :)

check that your manager.conf is enabled and matches what is in the scratch install

As for 2.0.4.1rc2, it's just a release cantidate, not an official release so no manuals yet. We are still testing a couple of updates that have yet to go into it before it is released. Not much has changed for the manual though.

Hi Guys,

Well, I couldn't fix the installation this post was for. So, I started from scratched again and everything is working fine. Thank you Matt for your help.

For future reference, how do I enable the manager.conf. I mean, I did everythig per scratch install and the scripts are supposed to run it. Isn't that right?

I'm setting up Vicidial, Asterisk, Hylafax, Samba and FreeRadius on the same machine. I'm working on it as I'm typing this message. What I want to do is be able to sell a one system that fits and cover several technology needs for small businesses. That is from Telephony to secured authentication, to faxing.

Do you guys know of any conflict between foresaid applications and all the applications necessary to setup a Vicidial Server?

In advance thanks for your insights :)

the sample manager.conf included with VICIDIAL and installed if you select Y to install default conf files will do the trick.

As for conflicts, I have not installed all of those on the same machine so I'm not really sure.
