i bought manager manual but have problem, no ring after dial

Postby xedlinux » Wed Jul 16, 2008 5:14 am

hi, i bough manager manual, but i have problem in vicidial.

once i used manual dialing, after clicking dial next number the live call turns into green and the agent cant hear any ring until somebody in the line answer the call.

if i used predictive dialing, the calls cant go through... meaning predictive dialing doesnt work...

pls tell me how to solve this one. thanks a lot.

astguiclient version?

Who is your carrier?

What country are you calling?

Check the following:
- sip-silence in your extensions.conf 8365 exten
- the 'o' flag in your Dial string options

If you still can't get it working, post some Asterisk CLI of try to place calls.

answering all of the questions I have asked is a start. You will notice that I frequently do not respond if the poster does not answer all of the questions, as this poster did not.

This question specifically has been asked dozens of times on the forums, so with a little searching it is pretty easy to find a lot of information.

maybe he has solved it on his own. he should post his solution though so that user with the same issue can refer to it.

Is this a double post?

Well at least you explain that this is manual dial output. Have you tried adding the 'r' flag to Dial in extensions.conf?

actually i did putting r in the dial string in extensions.conf but it does the same.

manual and predictive dialing the agents cannot hear a ring before the conversation is going on.

This can depend on your carrier as well, have you tried another carrier?
