Unable to connect to remote asterisk (does /var/run/asterisk.ctl exist?)

how to solve this prob in asterisk???
any suggestions???

Hi,
check if the asterisk process is running.
Then try i.e.: sudo asterisk -r

sometimes you need to be root to connect to the cli...
