i am using asterisk-1.2.30 , zaptel-1.2.27 , libpri-1.2.6, astguiclient_2.0.4 and i am using SIP .

i am facing a problem is that the customer is not able to here our voice clearly but we are able to here customer voice clearly this is happening when we are making the call from vicidial agc page .
but when i am making the call from soft phone directly then the audio is fine .

when am checking my server load average it shows the load average is 23 to 30% and asterisk is taking the cpu% some time 40% to 80% and mysqld-max is also taking some high load average

i m having a dual core processor .
OS is suse linux 10
3GB RAM
dial method is ratio and dial level is 1.5 with 10 agents

the CPU load average is high now a days but one way audio problem i m facing since long i have i change several voip carrier as well as bandwith too

When you say 23-30%, do you mean 0.23 or 23.00 loadavg?

what are the machine specs(CPU/RAM/drives)?

How many agents and how many phones on this server?

That is not 23-30% load, that is 1000% to 1500% load on your dual core system.

You need to take some of the load off of your system.

From ready technology ? I was reading there is some problems witht hat Codec. Try putting it back to G711 and make some calls. If it goes away its the codec.
