Hi all,

I have a fresh setup of Vicidial suite based on CentOS 5 (with Apache/PHP/MySQL/Perl all installed before setting up Astguiclient/Vicidial). Basically I followed most of the Scratch Installation instructions starting from Phase 3 Installing Software Before Asterisk since I didn't want to compile kernel.

Major problems seemed to be setting up connection between Astguiclient/Vicidial and Asterisk. I have no problem setting up sip/iax phones and the Astguiclient/Vicidial packages; extensions can ring each other; no problem to login Vicidial and Astguiclient web clients. But don't know why agent phone won't ring after logged in the web client even thought the web page did show up " Logged in as user xxxx on phone xxxx to campaign: TESCAMP". Looking at Asterisk CLI screen, there is no screen output whatsoever.

I have copied partial error log for your reference and would appreciate your kind assistance.

Connected to Asterisk 1.2.30 currently running on twiptone (pid = 2992)

The "screen -ls" output is:
There is a screen on:
2997.asterisk (Detached)
1 Socket in /var/run/screen/S-root.

The dial plan is from scratch installation sample except a few addition extensions for X-lite and Zap lines.

How did you install VICIDIAL?

Do you have the ADMIN keepalive script in your crontab?

Thanks for your reply.

As stated, I followed the Scratch Installation instructions starting from phrase 3; Installing Software Before Asterisk, I did all steps and also the ADMIN_keepalive scripts are in the crontab. The dialplan configuration is exactly the same as the sample setup that comes with the package except a few lines was added for Zap channel.

Vicidial/Astguiclient installation was successfully setup after Asterisk and I can create users, campaigns, lists, groups, .... and agents have no problem login the system except phones won't ring....... Looking at Asterisk cli screen, I see no verbose output when agent login but web client did show agent "phone is ringing" with the count down.

Extensions can call each others even dial out through zap channel but all with the error message of "Executing DeadAGI...... Connection refused".

Just can't figure out what went wrong?

If you only have one screen session then something is wrong.

Try running the ADMIN_keepalive script with the "--debug" flag manually and see if the other screens will load up.
