Custom lead data fields

Hello,

We have a vicidial intsall that is close to going live and I have one question. We are trying to mimic a hosted vicidial besed service's interface for familiarity and functionality, and I have a few questions. They seem to have a custom load new leads lists import page and agent page. It seems they have created some custom database fields specific to the mortgage industry.

Another thing is that they have a newer version of astguiclient than we do. We are using VERSION: 2.0.4-122 BUILD: 81011-0855 which seems to be the latest and greatest published on the site. However they are using a newer version of VERSION: 2.0.65 BUILD: 60828-1115. Is this version the difference or do they indeed have some custom fields setup.

Here are the fields they are using,

They have sections like;
GROUP: BORROWER TABLE: Borrower, and GROUP: BORROWER TABLE: Credit and GROUP: BORROWER TABLE: Contact each with fields that aren't in the current version. They seem too industry specific to not be custom. They also have a tab in their version that I don't see called Form Maker, that I assume is related.

So next question is do I need to be on that newer version to add the custom fields or can it be done on the 2.0.4 version?

There is no custom form builder in VICIDIAL. I assume you are referring to Mortgage Dialer, which is a service that took a much older version of VICIDIAL and added a lot of very specific Mortgage functionality to it. The version you are using is actually newer and has less bugs and more features in the core than Mortgage dialer has, just not the custom industry-specific functionality.

Indeed I am refering to Mortgage Dialer. What is involved in customizing this version of astguiclient to have some custom fields in the list import section and in the client section? Is that just a matter of adding the fields in the DB and then editing the appropriate php pages to use those tables?

Any information that you think might help would be appreciated.

Also what is the trick to scale vicidial to support up to 200 - 300 agents? Is it just a matter of using multiple asterisk systems on the backend or is there more to it?

That's the high-level view, although adding the code would take a bit of work to have the imports as well as the transfer of the data by AJAX to the backend PHP scripts.

As for scaling, yes, you just need to add more servers to scale up to 200-300 seats.
