Is vicidial capable of a t1 tie line to an existing pbx?

Postby wizzbangca » Wed Apr 08, 2009 4:16 pm

I am very new to vicidial/astguiclient, but have played with the software a bit. I have an existing pbx with a t1 tie card that does work. I am building a new dialer for the company and am wondering if vicidial can understand, or be configured to understand, a t1 tie line to send transfers through. Vicidial would be autodialing numbers, then if someone wants to speak to an agent, vicidial would then send the call through the tie line to the existing pbx. Can this be done? Any pointers on how?

Thank you.

What are the exact specifications on the T1 card?

D4/AMI or B8ZS/ESF?
PRI or RBS?
if PRI, what is the switchtype?
if RBS is it wink, ground or immediate start?

The phone system tie card model is 24T1 for a win 440ct. The specs I can dig up for the card are:

Patterns: B8ZS
Framing: ESF - Extended Superframe
Trunk Type: PRI-DID

I hope this gives you enough information for the phone system. I am attempting to dig up more information. The PRI/T1 card I plan on using in the dialer is a Rhino R2T1.

That should work just fine, although we do recommend Sangoma for T1 cards.

If asterisk can send and receive calls to what ever connectivity you might choose, chances are vicidial will work also.
