Inbound with multi-option IVR

Postby tech.php » Thu Apr 09, 2009 7:13 pm

Hi guys,

I have to configure inbound calls on my server with recorded IVR with some department options (eg. Sales, Service, Technical etc). The customer will choose and depending on option selected his call will be directed to a particular agent in either different campaigns or in-groups.

The complete flow is to be as below:
1. Customer calls to our number, call lands on our server
2. A pre-recorded message is played with options
3. Customer selects his option
4. As per selection, the call is transferred to different agents in either different campaigns or in-groups

Please suggest and guide on achieving the required functionality.I am using astguiclient 2.0.2 with asterisk 1.2.14 on SIP trunks.

I use FreePBX. You can also learn to create your own dial plan at places like this:

Hi william,

Thanks for your prompt reply. But the link provided is of not much help. If possible, please provide some specific help.

Matt: as per your earlier post, VICIDIAL supports functionality like this, request you to please guide.

Upgrade to 2.0.5 and read the Manager Manual.

Voip-Info's site is extremely educational (along with asteriskguru and a few others).

It's a guide ... So is the Manager's Manual.

Manager's Manual is directly on point and makes it easy. But the Manager's Manual will show you how it works with Vicidial without having to actually learn the ENTIRE asterisk dialplan system.

If you get stuck in one of them, ask for help.
