Cripple/Turn off Transfer in SIP VICIDIAL

I see alot of issues with DTMF on the system.

Our original set up was with KIAX and IAX setup - Vicidialnow. We did not have the ability to do extensions in the native setup. We did add sip and then the extension transfer ability popped up.

Refresh: We do a third party verification. We need to click on # to go to the next question. When clicked on in KIAX it tries to transfer us to another extension.

My work around idea for us and maybe for others with the DTMF issue's is to try and remove the ability to activate any features with DTMF tones in the softphones - since the softphones provide a quick and fast DTMF - I feel that alot of DTMF problems can be resolved easier doing softphone - eventhough you can not here the BEEPS....

Ideas on removing the # in extensions...

change this dtmf=inband

to dtmf=rfc2833

These were commented out. I uncommented

blindxfer => 111 ; Blind transfer

The results were no sound on both ends. meetme is in a loop. Changed back and got the loop (original settings) hmmm

I had commented out the extensions in the extensions file:

Well fixed this....but back to the # issue

DTMF signal changes can be used in the softphone (we use Kiax)

in the - features.conf file

[featuremap]
blindxfer => *3 ; Blind transfer
;disconnect => *0 ; Disconnect
;automon => *1 ; One Touch Record
;atxfer => *2 ; Attended transfer

I removed the # and changed to * as per the suggestiion and it worked! It did not work the first time after a reboot (Vicidialnow) but I re-applied the changes - took a minute - actually turned off the server and back on - then refreshed the WEB on the practice machine and it works fine.

I would suggest any third party verification people out there to do the # through a softphone and disable the # transfer in the above file and such.
