vicidial and sip trunks

Hello,

Please tell me if I am working in the right direction. I am using Ubuntu and plan on compiling asterisk code for Vicidial from the internet. I was told to compile asterisk for vicidial due to the API.

Once this is up and running, I will install Vici dial. From here, I will register my server with the SIP trunk company.

Can you please critique this overview and give me pointers on where I will have problems.

That should work just fine, We have Ubuntu install instructions, Slackware install instructions, and even an ISO that you can download(vicibox.com) that will go through the steps of installing everything for you, to the point where you just need to set up your SIP carrier(Which is covered in the Manager Manual).
