hardware recommendation

Postby mechx » Sun Apr 19, 2009 6:32 am

Please recommend hardware for an outbound 120 seats call center. line to agent ratio 1:1, outbound trunks 4 PRI E1. I plan to use ulaw for least transcoding, since there is no bandwidth issue. Full Recording. Thanks in advance.

If you are planning on going to 500 seats you will want the most CPU cores and the most RAM that you can find in a database server, or possibly a 6-server MySQL cluster. You will want at least 3 web servers and probably 10 ViciDial/Asterisk servers as well as a cluster of archive servers if you want to keep those recordings for very long.

Not talking about master/slave, I'm talking about MySQL cluster(minimum 5 servers required). We have never set one of these up, but based on the specifications it should work.

As for Master/Slave, we have set these up several times for clients. Works fine with ViciDial.
