ViciBOX Zaptel and libpri installation

Postby jepps3 » Mon Apr 27, 2009 1:06 pm

hen I install ViciBox Server I noticed that it was installing Zaptel and libpri's.

Do I still have to install the zaptel driver for my T1 card from the manufacture website or does ViciBOX pre-install all of it?

You do need Zaptel whether you have telco cards or not. Libpri you need if you are using T1/E1 circuits.

With packages like Vicibox and VicidialNOW, do we still need to download Zaptel and Libpri's?? I thought that they were built in the ISO.

Or is it wise to download and compile again?

If they are already on there you don't need to download them again. You MIGHT need to compile them again depending on your requirements and options, but that is not common.
