Easy Prompt

Postby AlexR » Tue Jun 09, 2009 1:51 pm

Hello Matt, everyone.

I was just wondering, is there a way to do the broadcast dialing procedure as explained in the manual not using the "easy prompt" extension? I need to do this because our message was pre recorded in a studio.

Thank you,

Alejandro

I should mention in SVN trunk we have added an Audio Store to ViciDial which allows you to upload prompts through the admin web interface and list them all so you know what you have and can listen to them before putting them in your prompt fields.

Where to find audio store

Postby roll72 » Mon Jun 15, 2009 1:08 am

Hello,

I was looking for the audio store in the svn but I was not able to find it. Could someone give me the name of the file and/or how to setup it ?

thanks in advance

You need to install the SVN/trunk version on your system.

Once installed you need to go to system settings and enable the Central Sound Control Active feature and set the Sounds Web Server IP field to your web server, then an Audio Store link will show up in your Admin sidebar.

Thanks for your answer,

we will try what you suggest but before, could you tell us if the last version of vicidialnow got this feature (2.0.5)?

vicidialnow is NOT svn, it's a "release version". svn is "improvements still in progress after the release", latest-greatest under development.

for svn you can start with any version, but you'll need to read the directions to "convert" to svn unless you started with an svn installation (neither vicibox nor vicidialnow is svn, although that would be interesting).

you may want to do a little research on what svn is, but the directions will work even if you don't know what you just installed.

As williamconley stated, VicidialNOW doesn't have the SVN version of Astguiclient/Vicidial. The latest release is using Astguiclient/Vicidial 2.0.5. If you want to use the SVN version, read the instructions on the scratch install document . It's very detailed.
