Hardphone in VICIDIAL?

If I use hardphone in vicidial, and we all know that vicidial using 'always connected' methode, how can the agent always get the handset near to their ear? I mean, hardphone using handset that is like ordinary phone. Does agent have to use speakerphone all the time? I don't think they can hold the handset all the time, not like using headset and softphone.

Or just regular corded phone with output for headset, if sound quality is not so important, there are plenty of them.
