Campaign not active, cant dial out.trouble with web clients

Postby n8 » Wed Nov 01, 2006 8:36 pm

I am having multiple problems with the web interface. When I log into agc/vicidial.php I select my campaign and it tells me the campaign is not active. The vicidial/admin.php tells me different. It tells me both the campaign and list is active. The agc/astguiclient.php does not let me make a manual call. Nothing shows up on the asterisk cli, but when I pick up the phone and dial a number the it show it connecting through the iax2 trunk to another asterisk server that is doing the actual dialing or the interface to the PSTN(however you want to look at it). The sip phones are pointed at the astguiclient/vicidial box. when I run the command screen -r I have 7 entries and they are all detached. I am at a stand still and don't know where to begin to fix this problem. Any ideas or a point to some relative docs will be greatly appreciated.

i have faced this same problem and matt may give you more logical answer and reason but i solved this problem in a more crude way
i droped the database asterisk from mysql and than rebuilt the database as per scratch install and made the campaign again and my problem was resolved
about connection of the phonnes
what kind of sip phones are u using hard or softphone
and what happen in manual dialing i mean without vicidial just pick up the phone and dial the no and also the asterisk output wihile doing so

I seem to get a lot of DBI connect('asterisk:localhost:3306','cron',...)failed: lost connection to MySQL server during query at (files listed below)

AST_vm_update.ph
AST_conf_update.pl
AST_manager_kill_hung_congested.pl

I had 9 of those messages in a 3 and a half hour period.

"Lost connection to mysql server during query" This is a very bad error on a localhost connection to MySQL.

What versions of Asterisk/astGUIclient/MySQL are you using?

I am using:
mysql-4.0.27
astguiclient_2.0.1
asterisk-1.2.12.1

Thank you(mflorell, abhasbajpai) very much for taking the time to look into my problem. I really do appreciate it.

What is the loadavg of your server when this happens?

What kind of server hardware are you using?(CPU/RAM/drive/...)

What Linux distro and kernelversion?
