Hi all

i hope anybody can helpme
i need to configure a sip account where the provider only give me a ip address as outbound server
and i have to send a prefix like 00056#

how can i configure the sip.conf and the extensions.conf
or in the web 2.0.5 vicidial the dial plan and the sip config....

generally the standard configuration will work for this, just remove the user/fromuser/password/auth lines from the sip context.

the extensions.conf requires something somewhat more specific, however. what country are you dialing to? how many digits are your numbers?

the _91NXXNXXXXXX dial pattern (three lines in the extensions.conf file) and the EXTEN:1 portion may need to be modified, but doing this will require the exact dial pattern you are expected to dial.

Remember that the EXTEN:1 will strip off the first digit (:1) of the dialed number and discard it. For instance: if your "exten" dial pattern in extensions.conf is "_91NXXNXXXXXX" and you dial "915555555555" it will send "15555555555" to the carrier after stripping off the "9" as a result of :1. So you can construct your outbound dial string accordingly.

Or post your expected dial string from the provider, along with a sample number you'll be dialing (all 5's is fine), similar to what I have above, and someone here can show you an example quite easily.
